Introducing "The Energy Transition Dialogues": Conversations for a Greener Future

At the Ashoka Centre for a People-Centric Energy Transition (ACPET), we’ve always believed that meaningful change begins with meaningful conversations. That belief is now taking the form of a podcast — The Energy Transition Dialogues — a platform born out of urgency, hope, and a shared responsibility toward building a cleaner and more equitable energy future. Hosted by Vaibhav Chowdhary, Director at ACPET, The Energy Transition Dialogues is not just another climate podcast. It is a space where science meets society, policy meets people, and ideas meet action. The series brings together voices from across sectors and geographies, creating a vibrant dialogue around the challenges and opportunities of energy transition.

Why This Podcast, Why Now?

The world is standing at a climate crossroads. As conversations around Net Zero, decarbonisation, and green innovation become mainstream, there’s a growing need to cut through the jargon and connect policy with lived reality. That’s precisely what this podcast sets out to do. Each episode of The Energy Transition Dialogues is crafted to be accessible yet insightful, ideal for listeners ranging from students and young professionals to government advisors and business leaders. The series explores how energy transition impacts not only economies and industries, but also households, communities, and everyday decision-making. We wanted to create a platform where the future of clean energy could be discussed with nuance, without losing the human context. That means addressing tough questions:

1. How do we make clean energy affordable and accessible for all?

2. Can policy innovation balance growth and equity?

3. What does sustainability really mean in emerging economies like India?

What You’ll Hear

Expect unfiltered conversations with people who are not only experts in their fields but also deeply invested in change. From solar entrepreneurs and climate scientists to public policy veterans and behavioral economists, our guests help unpack the technical, financial, and ethical layers of the energy transition. We talk about solutions that are practical, inclusive, and scalable. We share stories of innovation at the grassroots and debates from the highest corridors of policymaking. And through it all, we hold space for hope — the belief that a people-centric transition is not only possible but already underway.
